Why

Here be the reasons why I did this comic.

Prince Beatus Q: Why did I create Elven Fate?
A: I've always wanted to do a comic, be it a strip or a book. I just didn't have the time to do it. With Keenspace, I could put in a batch of strips and not worry about updating the site, while it still gives viewers a nice update for the next strip. All I have to do is make sure there is enough buffer strips to keep me able to do other things.

Q: Does this comic have anything to do with Lord of the Rings?
A: No. Even if this comic started around the time that Lord of the Rings came out, I fell in love with elves few years ago. Just ask my friends who I role play with. They'll say that whenever I play, I tend to be an elf or half-elf. It really annoys them that I keep playing the same character types. Especially when I'm either a warrior mage or a mage. I like magic.

Q: What exactly was your inspiration for creating Elven Fate?
A: Just look to the picture on the left. That's my inspiration. Out of my love for Gundam Wing's Zechs Merquise (Milliardo Peacecraft), I drew this fellow up, giving him elf ears for a nice mythical look. What can I say? I like fantasy.

Q: Why the pairings you have picked out?
A: With all the hype around 'proper' relationships, I thought I'd tamper into homosexual relations within the royal court. Not only do the lovers have to contend with the same gender relationship, but the difference in status and the betrothal. The angst is at the right amount to give a good plot. Toss in more villains and you've got yourself an epic!
